A jewellery box recovered from Istanbul Airport Lost & Found and delivered in Istanbul
A traveller left a jewellery box at an X-ray security checkpoint inside Istanbul Airport. The box contained a watch, earrings and several bracelets, and was later transferred to the airport Lost & Found office.
By the time she realised it was missing, she had already left Turkey and contacted us to arrange the lost property collection.
What we did
After Istanbul Airport Lost & Found confirmed the item and the required collection procedure, we attended the office on her behalf and collected the jewellery box. We checked the contents against her description and confirmed everything with her.
Instead of arranging international shipping, she chose a simpler option. She had a trusted friend in Istanbul, so we arranged a secure local courier handover and delivered the jewellery box directly to that person.
This avoided unnecessary international shipping and allowed the lost property to be returned quickly and safely.
