Airline lost property collection
Items left on board are often handed to the airline rather than the airport, and are held under the airline’s own rules. Once an airline has confirmed it holds your item, we coordinate the authorisation, collection and return.
Why airlines are handled differently
An airline decides its own conditions for releasing an item, how long it will hold it, and which office or desk actually has it. Those conditions are not ours to set or to waive.
The practical consequence is that the first step is always establishing which airline office holds the item and what it requires — not arranging a collection.
- Holding periods vary, and some are short.
- The desk that took the item is not always the one holding it now.
- Release usually requires a written authorisation naming the courier.
How the collection works
- 01
Identify who is holding it
Share the flight, the date, what the item is and any reference the airline gave you. We confirm with the airline which office actually has it.
- 02
Establish the release conditions
We ask what the airline needs before it will hand the item over, and tell you what that means for your case before anything is arranged.
- 03
Collection and return
Once released, we collect, review the packing the item needs, confirm the price in writing and book the return with a carrier.
Questions about this service
Who we are, and who we are not
Loyal Couriers is an independent service. We are not an airport, airline, hotel, booking platform or official lost-property authority, and we hold no official affiliation with any of them. We can only act once the venue holding your item has confirmed it and agreed to release it to an authorised courier.
