Lost Wallet with Cash Recovered from Istanbul Airport and Returned to Mauritius in April 2026

A traveller left his wallet at a duty-free shop inside Istanbul Airport while travelling from Türkiye to Mauritius. The wallet was found and transferred to the Istanbul Airport Lost and Found Office, but because the owner was already abroad, he needed an authorized lost property pickup service in Türkiye. The case became more complex because the wallet contained cash, personal cards and other valuable items. After confirming the lost wallet with Istanbul Airport Lost and Found, we completed the required authorization and collection process, collected the wallet from the airport and prepared the permitted contents for international courier delivery to Mauritius.

What We Did

- Airport pickup and authorization: We coordinated with Istanbul Airport Lost and Found, prepared the required authorization documents and collected the lost wallet on the owner's behalf. The wallet and its contents were then checked before international shipping.

-Separated the cash and shipped the wallet safely: Cash generally cannot be placed inside an international courier shipment. We therefore separated the cash from the wallet, arranged for the money to be returned through an appropriate separate method, and shipped the wallet and eligible contents to Mauritius. The wallet was successfully delivered and received by its owner.
