Lost item guide

If your item has not been found yet: work out who may be holding it, ask for written confirmation, then start your return. We provide logistics support for confirmed lost-and-found items; we do not search for missing belongings.

Work out who may be holding it

A lost item is often not where you last saw it; every venue keeps its own lost-property store.

  • Left in the terminal: the airport’s lost-property office.
  • Left on the aircraft: the airline, or its ground-handling agent at the airport.
  • Left in a hotel or a rental: the front desk, housekeeping, or the management agency on your booking.
  • Left in a hire car: the rental company you returned the car to.
  • Left on a transfer vehicle or a coach: the company you travelled with, not the terminal.

Ask for written confirmation

  1. 01

    Contact the venue directly

The office, the front desk or the company — not the booking site or the tour rep.

  2. 02

    Describe the item in detail

Make, model, colour, anything distinctive; a photograph if you have one. That description is what the venue matches the item against.

  3. 03

    Ask for a reference

Ask them to confirm in writing that the item is held, and note any reference number or department they give you.

Some venues hold found items only for a limited period; contacting them early makes a real difference.

Once the item is confirmed

When the venue confirms it holds your item, start your return: tell us what the item is, which venue holds it, the reference and where it should go. We handle the authorisation, the collection, the packing and the return.

If you are still unsure what to do, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you plainly.
