Lost and found support in Dalaman

Dalaman is where the eastern half of Mugla arrives and leaves: the airport, the rental desks outside it, the transfer coaches to Fethiye and Marmaris, and the charter marinas at Göcek a short drive away. Most cases here begin with something left in the terminal, on the aircraft or in a hire car — and those are three different offices.

Where we can collect in Dalaman

Dalaman Airport

The terminal’s lost-property office, for anything left in the building — a lounge, a gate, security, the arrivals hall — once it has confirmed the item and set out what it needs before release.

Airlines and ground handlers

Something left on the aircraft is handled by the airline or its ground-handling agent at Dalaman, not by the terminal. Ask the airline which office holds it.

Car rental desks at the airport

Hire cars returned at Dalaman are checked by the rental company, and found items are held at its desk or depot — one of the commonest places for things to be left.

Transfer and shuttle companies

The coaches and minibuses to Fethiye, Ölüdeniz, Marmaris and Dalyan, holding at their office what was left on board.

Göcek marinas and charter yachts

Göcek is a charter base minutes from the airport, with several marinas. A yacht may have sailed since you left; the operator confirms where it is now.

Hotels in Sarıgerme, Dalyan and Göcek

Beach resorts at Sarıgerme, riverside hotels and pensions in Dalyan, and the hotels around Göcek harbour.

Listing a collection point is not a claim of affiliation with it. Every collection depends on that venue’s own release requirements, which differ and are checked case by case. We can only attend a point that has agreed to release the item to an authorised courier.

Returned to their owners

Real returns: items our team collected and handed back, photographed at the point of handover.

How a collection in Dalaman works

  1. 01

Work out which office holds your item

Terminal, airline or rental company — they do not share a lost-property office. Something left at a gate is the terminal’s; something left in a seat pocket is the airline’s; something left in the car is the rental company’s. Message that office and ask for written confirmation with a reference.

  2. 02

    You send us the details

What the item is, which office is holding it, when you flew or returned the car, the reference they gave you, and the address it should go to. We verify those details with that office.

  3. 03

We confirm when the office can release it

Airport offices work to the flight schedule, rental depots to return times, charter operators to when a crew is aboard. We agree a place and a time before sending anyone.

  4. 04

    Authorisation for collection

Airports and airlines in particular release an item only to an authorised representative, against a written authorisation naming the courier. We ask exactly what they require and confirm with you whether it can be met.

  5. 05

Collection, packing and a written quote

Once release is authorised our courier attends and receives the item. We review its suitability for shipping, choose packing, and confirm the price with you in writing before it is dispatched.

  6. 06

    Return, usually across a border

We book the return with a carrier and pass on whatever tracking that carrier issues, then confirm each step in writing until the item is back with you.

Districts we collect from in Dalaman

The airport and Dalaman town

The terminal, the rental depots and the transfer stands around it; the town a few minutes away is where the airport’s staff live rather than a resort. Districts: Dalaman Airport, Dalaman centre.

Sarıgerme

The nearest beach resort to the airport, mostly large hotels along one bay. Districts: Sarıgerme, Osmaniye.

Dalyan and Ortaca

The river town, its boats to İztuzu beach and the mud baths, and Ortaca, the district it belongs to. Half an hour from the airport. Districts: Dalyan, Ortaca, İztuzu.

Göcek

Marinas rather than beaches: the charter base for this coast, and the place a yacht is most likely to be found or to have left from. Districts: Göcek, İnlice.

Köyceğiz

The lake town behind Dalyan, quieter and mostly small hotels. Districts: Köyceğiz.

Before you contact us

Nothing can start until an office has confirmed it holds your item. At an airport the question is which office, and getting that right first saves days.

  • Left in the terminal — a lounge, a gate, security, the arrivals hall: the airport’s lost-property office.
  • Left on the aircraft: the airline, or its ground-handling agent at Dalaman. Ask the airline which.
  • Left in a hire car: the rental company’s desk or depot at the airport.
  • Left on a transfer coach: the transfer company, not the airport and not the hotel.
  • Ask whichever it is to confirm in writing what it holds, with a reference, and whether it will release the item to an authorised courier.

We do not search for missing items, and we cannot ask an airport, an airline or a rental company to look on your behalf.

On the aircraft, or in the terminal

This is the distinction that matters most at Dalaman. The terminal’s office holds what is found in the building; what is found on board goes to the airline’s ground handler, and the two do not look in each other’s cupboards. If you are not sure where you left it, ask both, in writing, and tell us which one answers.

Each sets its own conditions for release and its own holding period. Some are short.

Hire cars returned at the airport

A car returned in a hurry before a flight is one of the commonest places for a phone, a wallet or a child’s toy to be left. The rental company checks the car after return and usually logs what it finds. Contact the company you rented from — the desk at Dalaman, or its head office — and ask for the reference.

Göcek and the charter yachts

Göcek is a charter base rather than a resort, with several marinas a short drive from the airport. A yacht is the one collection point that moves: by the time you write to us it may be on its next charter or in a different marina. We ask the operator where the boat will be and when someone will be aboard, and agree that window with you before attending.

We do not board a vessel or collect from one without the operator’s agreement.

What it costs

Our rates are published in full on the services page: collection is €60–€130, packing €5–€20, and there is a €60 minimum service fee. An airport collection at Dalaman generally sits at the lower end of that range; Dalyan, Göcek and Sarıgerme are short journeys from it, and the item and its packing decide the rest.

We confirm the price with you in writing before anything is collected. If a collection turns out not to be possible, there is nothing to pay for it.

Dalaman questions

Usually not. What is found on board goes to the airline or its ground-handling agent at Dalaman, not to the terminal’s office. Ask the airline which office holds it and to confirm in writing, then send us that confirmation.

Who we are, and who we are not

Loyal Couriers is an independent service operating in Türkiye. We are not an airport, airline, ground handler, car rental company, transfer company, marina, charter operator, hotel, booking platform or official lost-property authority, and we hold no official affiliation with any of them. We act only once the office holding your item has confirmed it and agreed to release it to an authorised courier.
