Lost and found support in Marmaris and İçmeler

Marmaris is the furthest of Mugla’s resorts from any airport — Dalaman is around an hour and a half by road, Milas-Bodrum considerably more — and it has a cruise quay and daily ferries to Rhodes. The distance shapes the quote; the ferries shape whether an item is still in the country.

Where we can collect in Marmaris

Hotels in Marmaris, İçmeler and Turunç

Large all-inclusive resorts with a formal lost-property log, and smaller hotels where the item sits behind reception. Ask for the reference either way.

The marina, gulets and day-boats

Netsel marina, the gulets that leave the harbour front and the day-boats to the bays. An item stays with the vessel, and the vessel may have moved.

The cruise quay and the Rhodes ferries

Ferry and cruise operators’ offices in Marmaris that are holding an item left aboard — on the Turkish side only.

Transfer and excursion companies

The coaches and minibuses that run to Dalaman, and the operators of jeep safaris, boat trips and day tours, holding an item at their office.

Car rental desks

Rentals returned at a branch in Marmaris or İçmeler, or back at the airport.

Other approved collection points

Restaurants, bars, shops and other places in and around Marmaris holding a confirmed item.

Listing a collection point is not a claim of affiliation with it. Every collection depends on that venue’s own release requirements, which differ and are checked case by case. We can only attend a point that has agreed to release the item to an authorised courier.

Returned to their owners

Real returns: items our team collected and handed back, photographed at the point of handover.

How a collection in Marmaris works

  1. 01

The venue confirms it holds your item

This has to come from you first. Message the hotel, the boat company, the ferry office or the transfer company and ask for written confirmation with a reference. A large resort will have a lost-property log; ask for the entry.

  2. 02

    You send us the details

What the item is, who is holding it, when you left, the reference they gave you, and the address it should go to. We verify those details with the venue.

  3. 03

    We plan the journey

Marmaris is a long way from either airport, and Selimiye or Datça further still. We confirm a place and a time with the venue, and we tell you if the journey affects the quote before anyone sets off.

  4. 04

    Authorisation for collection

Most venues release an item only to an authorised representative, usually against a written authorisation naming the courier. We ask what they require and confirm with you whether it can be met.

  5. 05

Collection, packing and a written quote

Once release is authorised our courier attends and receives the item. We review its suitability for shipping, choose packing, and confirm the price with you in writing before it is dispatched.

  6. 06

    Return, usually across a border

We book the return with a carrier and pass on whatever tracking that carrier issues, then confirm each step in writing until the item is back with you.

Districts we collect from in Marmaris

Marmaris centre and the marina

The harbour front, the bazaar, Netsel marina and the cruise quay. Most gulets and day-boats leave from here. Districts: Marmaris centre, Netsel, Siteler, Armutalan.

İçmeler and Turunç

The resort bays along the coast road, where the larger hotels are. Turunç is reached by a steep road or by water taxi. Districts: İçmeler, Turunç, Kumlubük.

The Bozburun peninsula

Selimiye, Bozburun and Orhaniye are boatyard and gulet villages more than resorts, an hour or more from Marmaris by road. Districts: Selimiye, Bozburun, Orhaniye, Söğüt.

Datça

Its own district, out along a long peninsula. Reachable, but the drive is reflected in the quote. Districts: Datça, Palamutbükü, Knidos.

Before you contact us

Nothing can start until someone has confirmed they hold your item. In Marmaris the last hours of a holiday are the usual culprit: the transfer coach to Dalaman, the ferry to Rhodes, the final boat trip — each run by a different company with its own office.

  • Message the hotel or operator directly rather than the booking site or tour rep.
  • For a transfer vehicle, contact the transfer company — the hotel usually does not hold what was left on the coach.
  • Ask them to confirm in writing that the item is held, and to describe it.
  • Ask whether they will release it to an authorised courier.

We do not search for missing items, and we cannot ask a venue to look on your behalf.

The Rhodes ferry, and items that have left the country

Marmaris runs ferries to Rhodes through the season, and a day trip is a common place to lose something. An item left aboard may be held by the ferry company at either end. If it is in the Marmaris office we can collect it once the company confirms; if it stayed in Rhodes we cannot — our couriers operate in Türkiye only — and we will tell you so straight away rather than open a case.

Distance, and why it shows in the quote

Dalaman is around an hour and a half from Marmaris by road, and the Bozburun peninsula and Datça are further again. That is a real journey for a courier, and it is reflected in where your case lands within our published collection range — but it does not change whether we can go.

Telling us exactly where the item is held, down to the hotel or the marina, is what lets us quote accurately the first time.

All-inclusive resorts

The large resorts along İçmeler and the coast road tend to run a proper lost-property procedure: housekeeping logs the item, reception holds it, and there is a reference. That makes the confirmation step quick — ask for the log entry — and the release step formal, because the resort will want the authorisation in writing.

Some resorts hold found items only for a limited period. Contact them early.

What it costs

Our rates are published in full on the services page: collection is €60–€130, packing €5–€20, and there is a €60 minimum service fee. Where a Marmaris case lands depends on what the item is, where it is held, the packing it needs and where it is going — the distance from the airport is the main reason a Marmaris collection sits higher in the range than an airport one.

We confirm the price with you in writing before anything is collected. If a collection turns out not to be possible, there is nothing to pay for it.

Marmaris questions

Almost always the transfer company, not the hotel and not the airport. Find the company on your booking or tour paperwork, ask it to confirm in writing what it holds and at which office, and send us that confirmation.

Who we are, and who we are not

Loyal Couriers is an independent service operating in Türkiye. We are not an airport, airline, hotel, marina, ferry or cruise operator, transfer company, booking platform or official lost-property authority, and we hold no official affiliation with any of them. We act only once the venue holding your item has confirmed it and agreed to release it to an authorised courier.
