Lost and found support in Fethiye and Ölüdeniz
Fethiye is reached through Dalaman Airport, roughly an hour away, and most visitors stay in Ölüdeniz, Hisarönü or Çalış rather than in the town itself. Add the day-boats, the paragliding and tour operators and the villas let through management companies, and working out who actually holds your item is the first job.
Where we can collect in Fethiye
Hotels in Ölüdeniz, Hisarönü and Çalış, and villas
Front desks and housekeeping at the resorts, and the agency or host that manages a villa in Ovacık or Hisarönü — the cleaners usually find the item; the agency usually holds it.
The marina and the day-boats
Fethiye marina, the 12 Islands boat trips and the boats to Butterfly Valley and Kabak, where an item left aboard is kept by the operator at its office.
Paragliding, tour and activity operators
Phones, sunglasses and keys left in a harness pocket or a tour minibus, held at the operator’s office in Ölüdeniz or Fethiye.
Dalaman Airport
The terminal’s lost-property office and airline desks, an hour back up the road. Dalaman has its own page — an item left at the airport is an airport case, not a Fethiye one.
Car rental desks and transfer companies
Rentals returned in Fethiye or at Dalaman, and the transfer vehicles that run between the two.
Other approved collection points
Restaurants, dive centres, shops and other places around Fethiye holding a confirmed item.
Listing a collection point is not a claim of affiliation with it. Every collection depends on that venue’s own release requirements, which differ and are checked case by case. We can only attend a point that has agreed to release the item to an authorised courier.
Returned to their owners
Real returns: items our team collected and handed back, photographed at the point of handover.
How a collection in Fethiye works
- 01
The venue confirms it holds your item
This has to come from you first. For a villa, contact the agency named on your booking rather than the owner; for a boat trip or a flight, the operator whose office sold you the ticket. Ask for written confirmation with a reference.
- 02
You send us the details
What the item is, who is holding it, when you left, the reference they gave you, and the address it should go to. We verify those details with the venue.
- 03
We confirm where and when it can be collected
An operator’s office in Ölüdeniz keeps different hours from a hotel in Çalış, and out of season both may open only on certain days. We agree a place and a time before anyone sets off.
- 04
Authorisation for collection
Most venues release an item only to an authorised representative, usually against a written authorisation naming the courier. We ask what they require and confirm with you whether it can be met.
- 05
Collection, packing and a written quote
Once release is authorised our courier attends and receives the item. We review its suitability for shipping, choose packing, and confirm the price with you in writing before it is dispatched.
- 06
Return, usually across a border
We book the return with a carrier and pass on whatever tracking that carrier issues, then confirm each step in writing until the item is back with you.
Districts we collect from in Fethiye
Ölüdeniz and the hills above it
The lagoon, the beach and the paragliding landing strip; Hisarönü and Ovacık on the plateau above are where most of the villas and family hotels are. Districts: Ölüdeniz, Hisarönü, Ovacık.
Fethiye town and Çalış
The marina, the harbour front and the market in town; Çalış is the long beach and the hotel strip a short dolmuş ride away. Districts: Fethiye centre, Karagözler, Çalış, Taşyaka.
Kayaköy, Kabak and the coast road
Quieter places reached by a winding road or a boat. Kabak and Faralya are mostly small guesthouses and camps; Kayaköy is the abandoned village and its restaurants. Districts: Kayaköy, Faralya, Kabak.
Göcek
Within Fethiye district but closer to Dalaman, and a charter base rather than a resort — see the Dalaman page for the marinas. Districts: Göcek, İnlice.
Before you contact us
Nothing can start until someone has confirmed they hold your item. In Fethiye the item is often not where you last saw it: the cleaner passes it to the agency, the boat crew passes it to the office, the tour guide passes it to the company.
- For a villa, message the management agency or the host on your booking, not the booking site.
- For a boat trip, paraglide or tour, contact the operator and ask which office holds found items.
- Ask them to confirm in writing that the item is held, and to describe it.
- Ask whether they will release it to an authorised courier.
We do not search for missing items, and we cannot ask a venue to look on your behalf.
Day-boats, paragliding and tours
A large share of Fethiye cases start with an activity rather than a room: a phone that stayed in a harness pocket after a tandem flight, sunglasses left on a 12 Islands boat, a bag on the seat of a tour minibus. These operators run on a daily rhythm and generally keep found items at their office for a while, not for ever.
Once the operator confirms it holds the item and where, the collection is straightforward. The part that takes time is the first message — so send it the day you notice.
Villas and management companies
Ovacık and Hisarönü are villa country, and most villas are run by a management company rather than the owner. The cleaning team finds the item at changeover; the company holds it; the owner may never know. Write to the company named on your booking confirmation and ask for their reference.
A villa that has closed for the winter still has someone with keys and a store room — the difficulty is reaching them, and it can take weeks rather than days.
We collect only from a company or host that has confirmed the item and agreed to release it. We do not enter a property.
If it was left at Dalaman
Something left in the terminal, on the aircraft or in a hire car returned at the airport is a Dalaman case, with a different set of offices — the airport, the airline’s ground handler, the rental company. Dalaman has its own page that explains who holds what.
What it costs
Our rates are published in full on the services page: collection is €60–€130, packing €5–€20, and there is a €60 minimum service fee. Where a Fethiye case lands depends on what the item is, where it is held, the packing it needs and where it is going — an office on the harbour front and a guesthouse at Kabak are different journeys.
We confirm the price with you in writing before anything is collected. If a collection turns out not to be possible, there is nothing to pay for it.
Fethiye questions
Who we are, and who we are not
Loyal Couriers is an independent service operating in Türkiye. We are not an airport, airline, hotel, villa agency, tour or activity operator, booking platform or official lost-property authority, and we hold no official affiliation with any of them. We act only once the venue holding your item has confirmed it and agreed to release it to an authorised courier.
