Lost and found support in Mugla

Mugla is not one place. Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye are hours apart, served by two different airports, and a good share of what goes missing here was left on a boat rather than in a room. Where your item is decides how quickly we can reach it.

Where we can collect in Mugla

Dalaman and Milas-Bodrum airports

Both terminals’ lost-property offices and airline desks, once they have confirmed your item and set out what they need before release.

Resort hotels and short-stay rentals

Housekeeping stores, front desks and hosts, from large coastal resorts to villas and apartments let for the season.

Marinas, boats and charter operators

Yachts, gulets and day-boats, where the item stays with the vessel. Which marina it is in depends on where that boat is now — sometimes not where you boarded.

Car rental desks

Holiday rentals returned to an airport desk, a branch or a depot — a common place for things to be left behind.

Excursion and tour operators

Boat trips, jeep safaris and day tours that are holding an item at their office after a trip.

Other approved collection points

Restaurants, beach clubs, dive centres, shops and other places in the province holding a confirmed item.

Listing a collection point is not a claim of affiliation with it. Every collection depends on that venue’s own release requirements, which differ and are checked case by case. We can only attend a point that has agreed to release the item to an authorised courier.

Returned to their owners

Real returns: items our team collected and handed back, photographed at the point of handover.

How a collection in Mugla works

  1. 01

The hotel, boat or airport confirms it holds your item

This has to come from you first. Message the property, the charter operator or the airport lost-property office and ask them to confirm in writing, along with any reference number.

  2. 02

    You send us the details

Which venue is holding it, what the item is, when you left, the reference they gave you, and the address it should be returned to. We verify those details with the venue.

  3. 03

We establish where the item actually is

For a boat this is a real step, not a formality: the vessel may have moved to another marina, or be out on charter. We confirm a place and a time before sending anyone.

  4. 04

    Authorisation for collection

Most venues release an item only to an authorised representative, usually against a written authorisation naming the courier. We ask what they require and confirm with you whether it can be met.

  5. 05

Our courier collects locally, then packs and quotes

Once release is authorised our courier attends and receives the item. We then review its suitability for shipping, choose appropriate packing and confirm the price with you in writing.

  6. 06

    Return, usually across a border

We book the return with a carrier and pass on whatever tracking that carrier issues, then confirm each next step in writing until the item is back with you.

Districts we collect from in Mugla

The Bodrum peninsula and Milas-Bodrum Airport

The airport sits in Milas and serves the peninsula. Bodrum’s marinas are the other half of the picture here — a good share of these cases start on a boat, not in a hotel. Districts: Bodrum, Milas.

Dalaman Airport, Fethiye and Göcek

Dalaman serves the eastern half of the province. Göcek is a charter base, Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü sit above Fethiye, and Dalyan is reached from Ortaca. Districts: Dalaman, Fethiye, Ortaca, Seydikemer, Köyceğiz.

Marmaris, Datça and the south coast

Marmaris runs ferries to Rhodes and is a long drive from either airport. Datça is further still, out along its own peninsula. Districts: Marmaris, Datça, Ula.

Inland districts

The provincial capital and the towns behind the coast. Less common, but the same process applies once a venue there has confirmed it holds the item. Districts: Menteşe, Yatağan, Kavaklıdere.

Before you contact us

Nothing can start until someone has confirmed they hold your item. In Mugla the awkward part is often working out who that someone is — the hotel, the boat, the tour operator or the rental desk.

  • Message the property or operator directly rather than the booking site.
  • For something left on a boat, contact the charter company or captain and ask where the vessel is now.
  • Ask them to confirm in writing that the item is held, and to describe it.
  • Ask whether they will release the item to an authorised courier.

We do not search for missing items, and we cannot ask a venue to look on your behalf.

Items left on a boat

A boat is the one collection point that moves. An item left on a gulet or a charter yacht travels with it, and by the time you write to us the vessel may be in a different marina, out on another charter, or hauled out for the season.

We ask the operator to confirm where the boat will be and when someone will be aboard, and we agree that window with you before attending. It is the main reason a Mugla case can take longer to start than an airport one.

We do not board a vessel or collect from one without the operator’s agreement.

Two airports, and real distances

Milas-Bodrum serves the peninsula; Dalaman serves Fethiye, Göcek, Dalyan and, at a stretch, Marmaris. Bodrum to Fethiye is a long drive around the coast, not a short hop.

That affects the quote and the scheduling, not whether we can go. Telling us which airport you flew from usually narrows down where the item is.

Timing, and why the season matters here

Much of coastal Mugla closes out of season. Hotels shut, charter crews go home and offices reduce to a phone that is answered irregularly, so reaching the right person can take considerably longer than in summer.

Neither changes what we do, but both change how long the first step takes. Contacting the property or operator early makes a real difference — some hold found items only for a limited period.

We do not guarantee a timeframe. We tell you what stage your case has reached rather than estimating.

Returns from Mugla to another country

Almost every Mugla case ends with a cross-border return, which adds rules that neither you nor we control. Whether a return is possible, and what it involves, depends on the destination, the item, customs requirements and whether the carrier will accept it.

We review the item and the destination before accepting a case, and we tell you if a return is not possible rather than collecting first and finding out later.

Destinations and transit times are published under international lost property shipping. What we will not promise is a delivery date: clearance at the destination is decided by its customs authority, not by us.

What it costs

Our rates are published in full on the services page: collection is €60–€130, packing €5–€20, and there is a €60 minimum service fee. Where your case lands in those ranges depends on what the item is, where in the province it is held, the packing it needs and where it is going — a collection in Bodrum marina and one in Datça are not the same journey.

We confirm the price with you in writing before anything is collected. If a collection turns out not to be possible, there is nothing to pay for it.

Mugla questions

Usually yes, once the operator confirms they have it and tells us where the boat will be and when someone will be aboard. The vessel may have moved since your trip, so that step comes before we send anyone.

Who we are, and who we are not

Loyal Couriers is an independent service operating in Türkiye. We are not an airport, airline, hotel, marina, charter operator, booking platform or official lost-property authority, and we hold no official affiliation with any of them. We act only once the venue holding your item has confirmed it and agreed to release it to an authorised courier.
